Center for Design Studies presents India's Young Creators Program 2026-27

Design education, made accessible.

The India's Young Creators Program (IYCP) is an initiative by the Centre for Design Studies (CDS) that introduces school students to the world of creativity, design, innovation and emerging technologies through meaningful experiences.

The belief it’s built on

The program is built on the belief that every child possesses the ability to imagine, create and solve problems. By providing opportunities to explore ideas, experiment with different forms of making and learn from real-world challenges, it encourages students to discover their creative potential at an early age.

Not one event — a journey

Rather than a single competition or workshop, the program functions as a continuous learning journey that connects schools, students, educators, parents and creative professionals through a shared culture of creativity.

Vision

To build a national platform that inspires the next generation of creative thinkers, problem solvers and innovators by making design education accessible, engaging and experiential for school students.

A platform where design, innovation and creative technology are not extracurricular add-ons, but a genuine part of how a student learns to think.

Mission

Nurture curiosity. Encourage experimentation.

To nurture curiosity, encourage experimentation and help students understand how creativity can be used to solve meaningful problems. Through learning experiences, creative challenges, mentorship, exhibitions and community engagement, we create an environment where young creators can continuously learn, grow and share their ideas.

Talks & workshops

Direct access to working professionals.

Inspiring talks, real careers

Students interact with distinguished professionals from Design, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Technology and the Creative Industries through inspiring talks, masterclasses, panel discussions and interactive sessions — exposing them to new ideas, emerging careers and real-world experience beyond the classroom.

Booking, made simple

Schools across the nation can book online and offline workshop slots directly through the portal. Certificates of participation are verified by scan.

School recognition

Pride for the whole school.

The National Challenge also celebrates participating schools, recognising institutions that actively encourage creativity, innovation and future-ready education, bringing pride and national visibility to students, teachers and the school community.
